Sarah Bool Visits Moorfield Almshouse

Almshouse

I really enjoyed my visit to Moorfield Almshouse in Towcester, where I met with residents and Feoffees (Trustees) of the Bickerstaff charity.

Our area has a wonderfully rich history - Arch Deacon William Sponne and Thomas Bickerstaff founded the charity in the 1400s that still runs the Almshouse to this day.

This is a fantastic resource for our community and I look forward to returning soon.
