The EFRA select committee visited the APHA site today. APHA plays a major role in enabling UK trade through provision of export health certificates, protects against disease outbreaks, operates State Veterinary Services in England, Scotland and Wales, researches and carries out surveillance and keeps GB biosecure.
Their mission is to protect animal and plant health to benefit people, the economy and the environment. A crucial area and we must ensure a strong funding stream!
