Road safety 
Residents will know that I am deeply concerned about road safety across South Northamptonshire.
I recently attended a briefing with the Stop Excessive Speeders campaign to learn more about the impact of speeding on our communities and the work being done to reduce dangerous driving.
The statistics are sobering.
Between 2019 and 2024, 284 people in South Northamptonshire were killed or seriously injured in road collisions. Behind every number is a person, a family and a community whose lives have been changed forever.
Speeding does not just break the law, it puts lives at risk. That is why it is so important that we continue to raise awareness, support effective enforcement and explore measures that make our roads safer for everyone.
